After a night of loud, angry protests but only five arrests, police and elected officials were bracing Wednesday for more possible backlash over the release of a dramatic video showing a white Chicago police officer shooting at a black teenager as he lay on the street.
An internal Chicago Police Department safety alert distributed to police officers on Tuesday night warned that gang members may be looking to carry out an ambush against cops on the street in retaliation for the Laquan McDonald killing.
