Americans aren’t happy with President Obama’s response to the recent massacres in Paris by radical Islamic terrorists but feel even more strongly that prominent Muslims need to speak out against these atrocities.
The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that just 36% of Likely U.S. Voters give the president good or excellent marks for his reaction to the Paris killings. A plurality (45%) rates his response as poor.
But only 17% of all voters think prominent Muslims including Islamic religious leaders have been vocal enough in their criticism of terrorist incidents like the one in Paris. Sixty-eight percent (68%) say prominent Muslims need to speak out more. Fourteen percent (14%) are not sure.
