CNN has suspended reporter Elise Labott after she trashed a bipartisan super-majority in the U.S. House of Representatives for daring to want more scrutiny of Syrian refugees.

“House passes bill that could limit Syrian refugees. Statue of Liberty bows head in anguish,” she said as she passed along a link to a story she’d written about the overwhelming vote against Obama.

After her bias was exposed as she was suspended, Labott apologized: “Everyone, It was wrong of me to editorialize. My tweet was inappropriate and disrespectful. I sincerely apologize,” she said on Twitter later.
