As usual, there will be two debates: a one-hour debate starting at 7 PM ET/4PM PT, with Chris Christie, Bobby Jindal, Mike Huckabee, and Rick Santorum. The second debate will last two hours and start at 9 PM ET/6 PM PT with the rest of the candidates.

Here’s a link if you don’t have access to the Fox News Business channel.

We will be live blogging the main debate later at 9 pm., this post will be stickied at the top during the debate, newer posts on other topics will be added below this post.

Main event about to start.

Kasich supports Obama plans, why is he here, blah blah blah.

10:30

Bush: we have to lead, we have to take a role. Putin being their is not good.
Trump: we should let Putin in, let everyone into Syria to fight. I don’t like giving weapons to people who we don’t know. I know Putin, I met him at a show.
Fiorina: I met Putin, not at a show, but I would conduct military exercises so Putin will not tell us where to fly our planes. Our allies like Jordan are not getting help. I would help them. We should have the strongest military on the planet and everyone should know it.
Rubio: only understands strength, and this President treats the President of Israel worse than Iran. We do have a vested interest because they are coming for us. They hate us, because of our values, either they win or we win, it is not going away on its own.

First fight of the night between Rubio and Paul!

Rubio: We are safer when America is the strongest in the world, I know Rand is a committed isolationist.
Paul: I want strong defense but not to bankrupt ourselves.
Cruz: Not defending this nation is a lot more expensive. Let’s eliminate corporate welfare, like sugar subsidies, that’s why we are bankrupting our grandkids and this is what I would use for the military.
Fiorina: this is why we need zero based budgeting.

Cruz: There are more words in tax code than there are in the bible and not a word as good. My business flat tax would be 16 %, eliminates the death tax, every group would see double digit increases to be able to provide for their families. The plan is one of the few that would abolish the IRS. Five major agencies I would eliminate.

9:42

Trump: We are a country of laws, and a wall works, ask Israel.
Cruz: we can embrace fighting illegal immigration, while supporting legal immigration. It is driving down the jobs for Americans. Journalists would care if it were their jobs being taken. (great answer)

9:31

Carson: Just want people to be fair. They look at my background but not at Hillary’s lie about Benghazi.

9:24

Income Inequality
Paul: We should look at where it is the worst, in Dem run cities and states.

9:21

How do you deal with the question that Democrats may be better for the economy?
Fiorina: Big government has bee crushing people for awhile. Need to go to zero based budgeting.Need to reform the tax code, got to a three page tax code. Need a review of every single regulation on books. Finally, we have to hold government officials accountable.

9:16

How do we bring back economic growth?
Cruz: Obama economy doesn’t have to be the new normal. I have rolled out a bold and simple flat tax of ten percent. Second id regulatory reform. The third element is sound money.
Bush: 4% growth can be attained, we need to regulate every regulation of Barack Obama. Barack Obama’s policies are not an A. That may be the best Hillary can do, it’s not best America can do.

9:12

How would you balance the budget?
Kasich: I have a plan. (why is he still there instead of Huckabee and Chrstie?)

9:05

Are you sympathetic to the Fight for $15
Trump: No, because we are not winning anymore, would not raise.
Carson: Every time we raise the minimum wage, the number of joblessness increases. It’s particularly a problem in the black community.
Rubio: Raising the minimum wage makes people more expensive then a machine, that businesses will then replace the people with. We need more welders than philosophers, those are good paying jobs.

Not sure how Paul is still there, either Huckabee or Christie has done better than him over the last few debates.

I have to say I have liked the seriousness of Neil Cavuto in the past, hope it goes well tonight.

Some moments so far from the undercard.

Mike Huckabee commenting on whether he would keep Janet Yellin, should he become president. He said, ‘well, since my wife’s name is Janet’, that he was very familiar with the concept of ‘Janet Yelling’.

Warning, cover your ears!
