Guess Obama will never get to see that clock.

Ahmed Mohamed wants to design the first generators used during a manned mission to Mars. But first, he’s going to the second White House Astronomy Night on Monday, where he’ll meet NASA scientists and astronauts.

Ahmed, 14, was arrested on Sept. 14 after bringing a clock he reassembled inside a pencil case to MacArthur High School. Irving police called the clock “a hoax bomb,” and didn’t file charges.

But his story set off an international frenzy, and President Barack Obama invited Ahmed to bring his “cool clock” to White House soon after.
