The suspect has been taken into custody, he had a gun that he waved at a student and SWAT was called in.

Police have been deployed to the Community College of Philadelphia Tuesday morning for the report of a man with a gun.

Police investigated as students were told to stay in place inside the Winnet Student Life Building along 17th Street near Spring Garden Street in the city’s Spring Garden section around 10:25 a.m. due to a report of a person with a gun, Philadelphia Police said.

No word yet if the claim of an armed man was substantiated. Officers searched the building and police said they had no reports of any injuries.

Police have confirmed they are looking for an African-American male, he is wearing a red hoodie and grey pants and is around 5ft 4′.
