Imagine if you were in that position. Knowing if you said yes, it was likely the wrong answer to such a shooter, maybe if you were a little bit down the line already, having seen other people respond yes and get shot?
President Obama focused on gun control and politicizing the event. We’d like to point out the courage that that must have taken in the face of such evil to still pronounce your faith.
Many people praising the courage of the victims also spoke on social media, some under the hashtag #IAmAChristian, seeking to honor and support the victims. Among those posting was presidential candidate Ben Carson.
It is not clear that all those killed were in fact Christians. Lawrence Levine the teacher was shot right away without being asked the question. He was Jewish, a fact that the shooter, who was a student in the class, may have known.
