I wouldn’t trust a Rolling Stone interview on what Trump is supposed to have said. But they all should try focusing their aim on who is best to take out Hillary or whoever is left after she implodes.
WASHINGTON – Donald Trump insisted Thursday he was only talking about rival Carly Fiorina’s “persona” when he said she couldn’t get elected because of “that face.”
Trump also unloaded on rival Ben Carson, who has moved to second place in national polls, after Carson questioned Trump’s faith.
Trump was quoted in a Rolling Stone article released Wednesday as saying, “Look at that face!?” when referring to Fiorina.
“Would anyone vote for that? Can you imagine that, the face of our next president?!” Trump said, while watching Fiorina on TV.
“I mean, she’s a woman, and I’m not supposed to say bad things, but really, folks, come on. Are we serious?”
But Trump told Fox News Thursday he wasn’t talking about Fiorina’s looks. “Probably I did say something like that about Carly, I’m talking about persona,
I’m not talking about looks.”
