Disarming law abiding citizens isn’t working.

A fatal triple shooting happened Friday night, shortly before midnight. The shooting took place during an apparent party, on the 3000 block of 25th street in Northeast, DC and three victims were transported by EMS.

District of Columbia police say a 22-year-old man was killed and two others were injured in a shooting in northeast Washington.

The slaying of Davon Wade was the 106th homicide in the nation’s capital this year. That’s one more than in all of 2014. Homicides have increased by more than 40 percent over the same time last year.

Wade was shot late Friday night in the Langdon neighborhood along with two other men. All three were taken to hospitals, one of them in a private vehicle. The other men were admitted with serious injuries, while Wade died at the hospital.

Police haven’t released any further details about the circumstances of the shooting or a possible motive.
