There is only one side to the illegal alien debate.
Via Truth Revolt:
An Asheville, North Carolina high school civics teacher faced an angry community Wednesday after posting several student-made signs outside her classroom that spoke against illegal immigration.
Reeck explained that the signs were part of an assignment that observed the current political campaign and to be a reflection of what is seen in the news.
The meeting with the community was slated to last only 30 minutes, but the frustrated parents, students, and community members — many holding Mexican and Honduran flags — would not leave until all of their voices were heard. They demanded to know what disciplinary actions Reeck is going to face.
A recent graduate of the school, Joshua Ramirez, attended the meeting and said that he was suspended in his senior year because he wouldn’t stop speaking Spanish in class. Ramirez charges that discrimination still exists at his alma mater.
Erwin High is said to be a very diverse school with a high Hispanic and Russian population. Reeck, a biracial woman, said it was that diversity that drew her to find a job at the school. “I am thankful to be a part of such a beautifully diverse community,” she said.
School officials have initially responded with assuring that staff members will undergo some kind of sensitivity training.
