ST. LOUIS COUNTY – An 11-year-old shot and killed a 16-year-old boy during a suspected St. Louis County home invasion Thursday.
According to Sgt. Brian Schellman, a spokesperson for the St. Louis County Police Department, the incident occurred on the 10,000 block of Hallwood Drive around 2:25 p.m.
Two suspects attempted to break into the house when an 11-year-old boy inside the home picked up a loaded gun and fired one shot, striking the 16-year-old. The suspect was pronounced dead on the scene inside the home.
