MILLIS – Wrentham Police and the Metropolitan Law Enforcement Council are now assisting Millis Police after a Millis Police cruiser was shot at least twice and caught fire today on Forest Avenue this afternoon.
As of 3:30 p.m., a SWAT Team was also setting up on Forest Road.
Wrentham has two officers on the scene and Chief James Anderson said a search is in progress for two suspects on foot in the woods in the Forest Road area, near Birch and Village streets.
“Hopepully, we’ll find the two bad guys and no one gets hurt,” Anderson said.Road blocks have been established at Birch and Forest streets.
Police believe the suspects were in a dark maroon Chevrolet pickup or van, according to the radio reports. There were at least two white men in the vehicle, according to radio.
