DeKalb County police confirm to Channel 2 Action News that a police officer has been shot.
DeKalb Fire Rescue says the shooting happened on the 1500 block of Boulderwoods Drive off Bouldercrest Road.
We do not know the extent of the officer’s injuries.
Atlanta police confirmed they were assisting with getting a DeKalb officer to Grady Memorial Hospital.
Update:
WSBTV is reporting that the officer is in surgery and that the situation started as a robbery investigation.
