Ya think the RNC establishment gets the message yet?
WASHINGTON — A new poll in battleground Iowa has Dr. Ben Carson tied with Donald Trump in Iowa — and a majority of voters backing one of three candidates who have never held public office before.
It’s the first time in a month that Trump hasn’t had the lead all to himself in one of four early-voting states.
Trump and Carson, a neurosurgeon who came to national prominence when he blasted President Obama at a televised prayer breakfast, each get 23 percent in the new Monmouth University Survey.
Carly Fiorina, a former Hewlett-Packard exec, comes in third, with 10 percent.
All three are outsiders who are able to appeal to an angry electorate that is lashing out at more conventional officeholders.
