Authorities in Mississippi are searching for two men who allegedly opened fire at a group of soldiers at the Camp Shelby Joint Forces Training Center in Hattiesburg Tuesday, according to a report by WDAM-TV.
No injuries were reported.
The station reported that shots were fired from a pickup truck around 12:30 p.m. at a group of soldiers who were training near the military facility.
The sheriff of Perry County, Dale Smith, told WDAM a search was underway for a two-door red pickup with “broken arrow” written across the top.
The station reported that police are looking for two white males, Lt. Col Dierdre Smith at Camp Shelby public affairs told Fox News Tuesday afternoon she “can’t confirm or deny anything,” but that about 4,500 soldiers are conducting a large training exercise at Camp Shelby this week.
