‘Nobody will ever vote for me’, now that’s a rousing self-endorsement!

WASHINGTON – Hillary Clinton said decades ago she was too “aggressive” to get elected – according to a story recounted by her husband.

Clinton shared her self-critical analysis in a private conversation with her husband during conversations leading up to the couple’s 1975 marriage – according to a story Bill Clinton shared in a new sit-down interview with Time Magazine for Friday’s issue, conducted alongside former president George W. Bush.

Clinton said he asked Hillary to marry him twice before she ultimately said yes – then told her she was the most talented politician of her generation and should go run for office instead of getting hitched to him.

“Oh my God … I’ll never run for office. I’m too aggressive, and nobody will ever vote for me,” Hillary told him, according to Clinton, in the interview.

“True story,” Bubba added.
