Yeah, this was her response to accusations she plays the gender card.
Via The Hill:
Hillary Clinton fired back at Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, after the Kentucky Republican suggested earlier Monday that being female wouldn’t be enough to win the Democratic presidential contender the 2016 election.
Speaking at a Bullitt County Chamber of Commerce in Shepherdsville, Ky., the Republican said of Clinton that “first of all, I don’t think arguing ‘vote for me because I’m a woman’ is enough.”
Separately, Theo Keith, a local reporter based in Louisville, Ky., tweeted that McConnell said that “the gender card alone isn’t enough.”
Clinton was asked about the “gender card” remark during a Facebook question-and-answer session Monday, fired back that the Kentucky Republican “doesn’t get it.”
“There is a gender card being played in this campaign. It’s played every time Republicans vote against giving women equal pay, deny families access to affordable child care or family leave, refuse to let women make decisions about their health or have access to free contraception,” Clinton added. “Anyone who doesn’t get that doesn’t understand what our lives are like.”
