Five British tourists are reportedly to be criminally charged by the Chinese authorities over alleged terror links.
Three British nationals and two with dual British-South African citizenship, along with three South Africans and an Indian national, are being held in police cells in the Inner Mongolia city of Ordos after they were arrested, along with 11 others, on Friday morning during a 47-day “ancient China” sightseeing trip.
Six Britons and five South Africans have now been told they are free to go. The Britons are due to arrive home tomorrow and the South Africans on Friday.
