For the first time since her April 12th presidential campaign announcement, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will sit down for a national television interview.
According to a report, Clinton will sit down Tuesday with CNN senior political correspondent Brianna Keilar in her inaugural appearance, with the full interview airing on “The Situation Room” with Wolf Blitzer and “Anderson Cooper 360″ Tuesday evening.
In all, Clinton will have gone 86 days without a national media sit down since her campaign launch, having only done interviews in early primary states with local reporters instead.
Keilar’s exclusive with the Democratic frontrunner will take place in Iowa City, Iowa.
The Clinton campaign has had a contentious relationship with the press during the first three months of her campaign, with the situation coming to a head on Saturday when the press was kept away from the former first lady by a rope line as she walked in a 4th of July parade in New Hampshire.
Late Sunday, Fox News media reporter Howard Kurtz reported that Clinton would begin doing national television interviews in the coming week.
Who is Brianna Keilar? Why, here she is, as a guest at the wedding of Clinton operatives, along with other CNN folks, Dan Merica and Ashley Killough.

However (perhaps coincidentally), Keilar was spotted two weeks ago at the wedding of a prominent member of the Clinton campaign. (RELATED: After 86 Days, Hillary Clinton To Give CNN First National TV Interview Of Campaign)
Keilar, along with other CNN and national political reporters who cover Clinton and the 2016 race, attended the wedding of Adam Parkhomenko, the director for grassroots engagement for Clinton’s presidential campaign (also a co-founder of Ready for Hillary), and Kirby Hoag, a former Ready for Hillary staff member.
