Many cemeteries display American flags on gravestones for Fourth of July.

But one California cemetery removed them, and threw them away!

Tuesday, community members came together to make a patriotic point.

Dozens of volunteers and family members of those buried at the cemetery came out to show their support, with their arms full of fresh flags.

After several hours of work, the grave site of every veteran in the cemetery had a brand new American Flag placed in front of it.

The company that owns the cemetery says the flags and other personal items were removed as part of a quarterly cleanup of the grounds.
