This video has gotten very little play in the media. The friend, Christon Scriven, is black and says that Dylann Roof was never racist with him. He also notes that his original target was the University of Charleston, and that maybe he didn’t attack there because of the security. In other words, maybe he saw the church as an easier target.

Scriven says he hid the gun, but that because of his own problems with the law, he couldn’t be around guns, so had to give the gun back.
