Three Staten Island teenagers who threatened to kill a Jewish doctor Sunday night have been arrested and slapped with hate crime charges, NYPD officials said.
The doctor, who wished to remain anonymous, was walking home at Harold Street and Washington Avenue shortly after 7 p.m., when he suddenly felt a rock hit the back of his head. He turned around and asked the three boys if they had did it.
They responded, “Yes m***r f***r… We should smack his yarmulke off his head,” officials said.
The suspects, identified as Kareem Cook, 17, along with his two associates, whose names were not released because they are juveniles, also threatened the doctor with a kitchen knife and verbally assaulted him, cops said.
