If the folks in state want to remove it, that’s up to them, just think it really has nothing to do with this case. Having it there was not an endorsement or sanction of such action, removing it wouldn’t stop it either.

WASHINGTON – In a break from her own position, South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley on Monday called for the removal of the Confederate flag from statehouse grounds.
“The time has come,” she said to applause.
Haley joined other state leaders, including Republican state Sen. Tim Scott and U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham, in calling for the removal of the flag.
“Today we are here at a moment of unity in our state, with no ill will, to say it is time to move the flag from the capitol grounds,” Haley said.
The move comes after last week’s shooting death of nine black members of the Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church. State Sen. Clementa Pinckney, was among those killed.
President Obama and Vice President Biden will both travel to Charleston at the end of the week to attend the funeral services for Pinckney. Obama will deliver the eulogy, a White House spokesman confirmed to Fox News.
