The Social Justice Warriors need to make another pilgrimage to the shrine of St. Swisher.
A man was found fatally shot and another wounded Tuesday afternoon in the city’s Wells Goodfellow neighborhood, police said.
The double shooting was reported about 1:45 p.m. in the 5900 block of Highland Avenue, police said. One of the men had been shot in the back of his head and jaw, and was dead at the crime scene. The other, with gunshot wounds to the chest, arm and leg, was taken to a hospital for treatment where he was listed in critical but stable condition.
Homicide detectives were at the crime scene Tuesday afternoon. The killing is at least the 82nd homicide of the year, and the fourth in less than a day.
About 10:15 p.m. Monday, Chauncey Ball, 24, was fatally shot in the 4500 block of Margaretta Avenue.
Three hours later, two men, Larry McGee, 37, and Willie Porter, 33, were fatally wounded by gunfire in the 8700 block of North Broadway.
Most of the city’s 82 homicides this year were shootings. There were at least 159 homicides last year; 120 in 2013.
