Hillary Clinton launched her presidential campaign in earnest Saturday with a speech and rally in a setting that evokes a revered Democratic past as much as — if not more than — the party’s desired future.
In her remarks, she invoked achievements of Democratic presidents, including another Clinton, and slammed the “new voices” in the Republican field who were “singing the same old song, a song called Yesterday.”
Clinton discussed the struggles that many Americans still face and growing income inequality. She said everyday Americans had to question when their work would pay off.
“I say now,” the Democratic frontrunner said.
