Does challenging the existence of it count? I’m guessing no.
(WASHINGTON, D.C., 5/20/15) – The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the nation’s largest Muslim civil liberties and advocacy organization, today announced that it will launch its new Instagram account – @CAIR_National – with a contest for an Apple Watch at this weekend’s ICNA-MAS convention in Baltimore, Md.
CAIR says the watch will be awarded to the individual who visits its booth in the convention bazaar (Booth Number 608/610) and most creatively responds on a white board to the prompt, “Here is what I am doing to challenge Islamophobia.”
“Islamophobia is a growing phenomenon in our society that needs to be challenged through proactive efforts,” said CAIR National Executive Director Nihad Awad. “Everyone needs to do their part.”
For those unable to attend the convention, CAIR is offering a prize of an Apple iPad mini for the most creative tagged photo posted from anywhere in America.
Photos of the white board must be tagged @CAIR_National and #CAIRChallenge, posted on Instagram and include an identifiable portion of CAIR’s booth at the ICNA-MAS convention.
No payment or purchase is required to enter the contest. The winning entry will be selected by a panel of CAIR staffers and announced via Instagram on June 11, 2015.
