Judge Judy

No reports of any special little snowflakes getting offended.

Graduation is a very special night for high school graduates around the country, but graduation was just a little extra special for the class of 2015 in Shiprock.

Judge Judy Sheindlin, who you see every day on KOB, shared a few thoughts with those graduates.

“Because you never know in life how a chance meeting can change somebody’s impression of themselves or can leave you with a thought that gives you a good feeling about yourself that can last forever,” Judge Judy said.

Not the kind of court Judge Judy Sheindlin usually presides over, but before a packed Chieftain Pit, she took some time to dole out her own brand of wisdom.

“You only have one chance to make a first impression,” she repeated to the crowd from the podium.

Judge Judy held a Facebook contest for high school seniors. For the winner, she made time to come to graduation and 17-year-old Alexus Uentillie won that contest.

“Maybe I will say one or two things that can spark a flame in the minds of a half a dozen of the graduates, I have accomplished my mission,” she told KOB Eyewitness News 4.

Though her time was short—she left immediately after her speech to fly back to Connecticut for her granddaughter’s graduation—her message was powerful.

“There are only 2 things guaranteed in your life, your entrance and your exit. In between is the journey and my wish for all of you is that your journey be a walk in beauty. May you all walk in beauty. Congratulations!”
