Last weekend, 49 were shot, including an 81 year old grandmother coming from her daughter’s wake.

In The Windy City which has some of the strictest gun control laws in the nation, Memorial Day Weekend has already fired off with bodies starting to stack up.
Up to this point, 17 Chicago residents have already been shot, and 2 have been killed.
Included in those shot, 4 year-old Jacele Johnson was gunned down in the west Englewood neighborhood Friday night around 8 p.m. Johnson took a bullet to the head and was transported to Comer Children’s Hospital where she remains in critical condition.
Friday, in Chicago’s University Village neighborhood at 2:10 a.m., police responded to a shooting call. Upon arriving, they found a 20 year-old man lying on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to Stroger Hospital and pronounced dead upon arrival.
Six people were killed and at least 23 others—including a 4-year-old girl—have been wounded in shootings across Chicago this Memorial Day weekend, police said.
The 4-year-old, identified by her family as Jacele Johnson, was shot about 8 p.m. Friday in the West Englewood neighborhood.
She and her 17-year-old cousin Romare Wilson were inside an SUV in the 7000 block of South Justine when another vehicle pulled up and someone inside opened fire, according to their family and Chicago Police.
The four year old’s mother, Trenetta Gresham, says she has had enough of Chicago. They had been scheduled to move on Tuesday. “Chicago doesn’t ever have to wonder about me coming back”, she said…
