Look at me, I’m Pant Suits!
MANCHESTER, N.H. —Ahead of Hillary Clinton’s second campaign visit to New Hampshire on Friday, a small business owner from Portsmouth will get a unique social media opportunity. For one day, she’ll be tweeting to more than 3.5 million followers.
The Clinton campaign is turning over the Democratic presidential candidate’s Twitter account Thursday to Mary Jo Brown, a University of New Hampshire graduate who has owned and headed Brown and Company Design, a 10-person strategic graphic and web design firm, for the past 23 years.
“Since we opened our doors in 1992, we’ve grown from a two-person shop to an organization with clients of all shapes and sizes from coast to coast,” the Brown and Company website says. “We love to take on any project, from a brand identity to a responsive website.”
A Clinton campaign official said Brown was chosen to operate @HillaryClinton account for the day because her experiences coincide with Clinton’s focus this week on small businesses as a key part of her economic agenda. She talked about small businesses in first-caucus state Iowa earlier this week, where she told one owner, “I want to be the small business president.”
