The Left went into paroxysms of fury over the biker gang shootings in Waco, complaining media wasn’t calling them thugs, why wasn’t the National Guard being called in, why weren’t the police in riot gear and armor, like Baltimore or Ferguson.
As you can see from the above video, there was SWAT, as well as multiple police officers in body armor, surrounding the bikers, and the police amazingly had the situation in hand relatively quickly, after being initially fired upon. Unlike an out-of control riot, with people burning down Democratically-controlled cities. The bikers also appeared to not fighting being searched and arrested, also unlike rioters, who try to break each other free from arrest. But that didn’t stop the Left.
Deray initially lied saying there were 100 guns, but in fact, that wasn’t true, there were other weapons, but not 100 guns.
They were particularly offended by the following picture, referring to it as police ‘chilling out’ with murderers. Of course, they had no facts to know what the circumstances of the picture were. Were the people in the picture already cleared as not involved or not a danger? Were the people actually surrounded by police with heavy weaponry, as it appears, waiting to be processed for arrest? They don’t know, and apparently, don’t care about what the facts are.
Goldie Taylor, a former MSNBC commenter on Al Sharpton’s show, even accused police of being in league with the bikers:
