Ya think?

(CNSNews.com) – When asked about whether they have kept their campaign promises in the aftermath of an election that gave Republicans a majority in both the House and the Senate, GOP lawmakers said on Wednesday that they have not.
“Are we doing what we told them we were going to do last November?” Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) said in response to the question posed by CNSNews.com. “Like, did we stop the president’s unconstitutional executive amnesty provision?
“Are we going to stop the corporate welfare?” Jordan said. “Are we going to have a work requirement for able-bodied adults in our social safety net systems?
“All those things we told the voters we were going to do — that should be the measure,” Jordan said. “Are we accomplishing those things? To date, we haven’t, and frankly, that’s what we need to focus on.”
Jordan and other Republican lawmakers made their remarks during the Heritage Foundation’s monthly Conversations with Conservatives event on Capitol Hill.
CNSNews.com asked the panel about Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s (R-Ky.) claim at a press conference on Tuesday that Congress is no longer “dysfunctional” and whether that meant that lawmakers were accomplishing what they promised voters they would accomplish if elected.
