Rand Paul hasn’t been pulling any punches since he announced that he was running for President. He has hit the media, Debbie Wasserman Schultz, Hillary Clinton and President Obama so far, and Tuesday on Fox News he added two more to his list: Senators Lindsey Graham and John McCain.
Asked about foreign policy, easily his weakest point and toughest sell, Paul turned the question around from a question of his own cred to a question of his Republican colleagues. “This comes from a group of people wrong about every policy issue over the last two decades,” he said, before listing examples of foreign intervention or foreign aid under Obama, and suggesting that being in favor of those things equals support for Obama.
If there’s anyone who is the most opposed to President Obama’s foreign policy, it’s me. And these people who call loudest to criticize me are great proponents of President Obama’s foreign policy, they just want to do it ten times over. But I’m the only one actually standing up and saying the war in Libya was a mistake, the bombing of Assad would make ISIS stronger, the arms to the Islamic rebels would make ISIS stronger…
