At least two New York police officers were injured after being assaulted at a Brooklyn protest against police violence on Tuesday night, CBS New York reports.
A police sergeant was taken to New York-Presbyterian/Lower Manhattan Hospital, sustaining injuries to his face and arm trying to control the angry crowds of protesters.
CBS reported that demonstrators against police-related deaths and violence started in Union Square and marched down Broadway, blocking traffic for those trying to cross the Brooklyn Bridge.
Police promptly responded to the mobs grandstanding in the middle of city streets.
