Hmmmmm
SCOTTSDALE – Is Sarah Palin moving to the valley? Still no confirmation, but rumors are swirling that Palin recently bought a $1.7-million home in north Scottsdale.
Those rumors are fueling speculation she could run for office in Arizona.
The two big questions are: is Sarah Palin moving to Arizona? And will she run for president or Arizona’s open senate seat?
According to election law, she could run for Senate, even if she just moved here.
“Would she be welcomed, you bet you bet she would,” says Tom Morrissey, chairman of the Arizona Republican Party. He thinks Arizona is the perfect place for Palin to run for president.
“She’d be better situated here as far as being in the contiguous 48 states, and Arizona is central to the world.”
Morrissey says he hasn’t heard rumors about Palin running for Jon Kyl’s upcoming Senate seat, but Democrats have.
“We’ve been hearing the rumors for a few months,” says Jennifer Johnson from the Arizona Democratic Party. “It’s hard to know how much truth there is.”
A poll done by Public Policy Polling shows Sarah Palin beating the current Republican candidate Jeff Flake.
“It is interesting though that someone on the Republican side, Congressman Jeff Flake, is already being beaten by her in polls,” says Johnson.
