Salon was referring to this picture of Dakota Meyer where he fought back on behalf of the military when Michael Moore attacked military snipers and American Sniper in particular.

Of course, typically, Salon in addition to being nasty, is also wrong, as Meyer is most famous for being a medal of honor winner and saving lives.

The reason for attacking? Palin Derangement syndrome. They were commenting on the engagement of Meyer to Bristol Palin, Sarah Palin’s daughter. So therefore, now mocking is required.
