The White House confirms President Barack Obama will visit Benedict College in Columbia on Friday.

“The President will travel to Columbia, South Carolina to hold an event at Benedict College with students and youth leaders,” a White House official confirmed to WIS.

Officials said further details regarding the President’s visit will be made available in the coming days.

This will be President Obama’s first visit to the Palmetto State as President.
