There’s a really simple solution to this: Don’t run for president. Save everyone the agony…
Via The Hill:
Hillary Clinton says the responsibilities of being president and hosting the Oscars share at least one thing in common: the need for a high threshold to pain.
The former secretary of State, speaking at a Silicon Valley women’s tech conference Tuesday, was asked which gig she’d like next year, either commander-in-chief or host of the Academy Awards.
Clinton replied with a big laugh, “Both jobs are really painful, from my own personal experience and observation.”
The potential 2016 White House contender then referenced a gag from host Neil Patrick Harris at Sunday’s award show, in which he donned only a pair of underwear in a spoof on a scene from Best Picture winner “Birdman.”
“I don’t think I could do the ‘Birdman’ imitation,” Clinton chuckled.
The former executive mansion resident also commended actress Patricia Arquette’s acceptance speech. The “Boyhood” star received raucous applause from the likes of Meryl Streep and Jennifer Lopez after calling for wage equality while accepting her golden Best Supporting Actress statue.
“Up and down the ladder, many women are paid less for the same work, which is why I think we all cheered at Patricia Arquette’s speech at the Oscars, because she’s right. It’s time to have wage equality for all,” Clinton said.
