Of course, she did that her whole tenure as Secretary of State. She is letting the media “vet” the Republican candidates while she evolves towards the “correct answers”.

Eugene Robinson said Friday that Hillary Clinton is the luckiest politician in America right now. Clinton has been in hiding and made few public appearances since her paid speech in Canada.[…]
“She’s still the de facto nominee, and she hasn’t had to come out and state a position on really much of anything. So good on her,” said Robinson.
By Clinton not being out in the public eye she has managed to avoid questions from reporters.
