Kershaw County deputies have arrested Xavier Robinson, 18, Charlie Rashawn Lawson, 18, Elijaquan Halley, 19, and Daron Herbin 17,for burglarizing a home.
Deputies say the group broke into a home on January 27, stole nine guns, a computer, a safe and other miscellaneous items.
Deputies say at about 4:30 a.m. on January 27 one of the suspects’ mother was told that her son and several other young men were seen carrying guns and a safe though a neighbor’s yard. The suspects’ mother, according to deputies, found her son in his bedroom with three other young men and they were in possession of a safe and several firearms. The young men, deputies said, overheard the mother calling 911 and fled, carrying the guns and the safe.
Deputies responded and ultimately located and apprehended Robinson, who officials said had fled on foot. Deputies said they found several long guns, a gun case, and boxes of ammunition that had been hidden under a vacant mobile home and in some woods.[…]
“One of the teens seems to be proud of his arrest as he arranged to have his Facebook profile picture changed to his mugshot. I suspect that he is on the path to becoming one of our regulars,” Kershaw County Sheriff Jim Matthews said. “It’s a shame he and his buddies are choosing this lifestyle at such an early age.”
