Park Theater

The NFL has a problem with family friendly. I hate seeing a group of families in a sports bar, this year it will be me, the two dogs, cheese, sardines and crackers for the “big game”.

At the orders of the National Football League, which has strict rules about its game broadcasts, the Park Theatre in Cranston has canceled a party that would have shown Super Bowl XLIX on the cinema’s big screen.

“The Park Theatre wishes to express a heartfelt apology and disappointment for any inconveniences caused by this unfortunate circumstance,” said promoter Yusuf Gandhi in a news release Friday.

The theatre was not going to charge admission for the event, but planned to offer snacks and drinks for purchase, according to an ad previously posted on the theatre’s website. The event was billed as “family-friendly.”

The league cited copyright regulations and “out of home” viewing policies, according to the theatre’s release.
