Former Obama strategists working to defeat Netanyahu? No way! Update to this story.

A former campaign strategist for President Obama was flown into Israel and is now in the midst of working on anti-Benjamin Netanyahu efforts in hopes of replacing Israel’s government in the upcoming March elections.

Jeremy Bird, a political strategist who in 2008 served as Obama’s field director for South Carolina and deputy director of Organizing For America before becoming his National Field Director during the 2012 elections, is currently in Tel Aviv propelling a group that operates with a “just not Bibi” mission. The group, V15, has tapped Bird along with four other seasoned political operatives who have worked on Obama campaigns.

V15 does not outright support specific political parties, but are actively working against Prime Minister Netanyahu and allies — despite those involved denying it.

Nimrod Dweck, a man who founded a company called Dice Marketing and helped band together the activists for the movement, danced around their “Anyone but Bibi” mission when asked by Roy (Chicky) Arad from the left-leaning Israeli newspaper Haaretz.
