Reality check: The Islamic State is still battling US-backed Kurdish forces for control of Kobani, the same town they were fighting for when Obama began airstrikes four months ago. Al-Baghdadi’s cavemen have also  nearly doubled the amount of territory they control in Syria. If that’s winning, I don’t want to know what losing looks like.
