On Sunday, New York State Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D) announced the Anti-Poverty Opportunity Agenda, a 10 point plan to combat poverty and fight inequality.

The plan includes raising the statewide minimum wage in 2016 from $9.00 per hour to $10.50. However, since the cost of living in New York City is so high, Cuomo plans to up city minimum wage to $11.50.
