GREENVILLE, S.C. —Sen. Lindsey Graham said Sunday morning that he has set up a committee to test the waters on a possible run for president.
The South Carolina Republican appeared on NBC’s “Meet the Press” and spoke to host Chuck Todd from Jerusalem.
Todd asked Graham about polling efforts.
“We’re not polling but we set up a testing the waters committee under the IRS code that would allow me to look beyond South Carolina as to whether or not a guy like Lindsey Graham has a viable path,” Graham said.Sen. Lindsey Graham appears on Meet the Press
Todd said Sen. John McCain, an Arizona Republican who ran for president twice, referred to Graham as his “illegitimate son” and was encouraging Graham to run.
