The U.S. Secretary of State had a full plate in 2014 given the chaos around the world today, from Islamic terrorists killing and beheading Americans in the Middle East to Russian intervention in Ukraine and attempts to stop Iran from developing nuclear weapons.
But John Kerry apparently had time to tweet about soccer and guitar playing and to take a selfie in Indonesia (#SecretarialSelfie) during this past year, according to an article on his “top tweets,” posted on the State Department website.[…]
The only tweets on the list that touch on the turmoil in the world which it’s Kerry’s job to address are those about the young girls kidnapped by Boko Haram terrorists – and still missing – in Nigeria (#BringBackOurGirls) and his visit in March to the Ukraine, a sovereign nation that continues to be bullied by Russia.
The article on Kerry’s top tweets starts with an explanation about his Twitter account, which apparently was shut down during his first year on the job.
