Via Fox News:
The Los Angeles Police Department launched a manhunt for a suspect and declared a tactical alert after shots were fired at a patrol car in a South Los Angeles neighborhood.
The officers fired back. They were not hurt.
Dozens of police officers from around the city rushed to the area of the shooting to search for two suspects armed with a rifle. The shots were reported fired about 9:30 p.m. Sunday.
The Los Angeles Times reported early Monday that police arrested one of suspects at the scene and recovered the rifle.
The Times said on Facebook the LAPD advised residents to avoid going outside. “Armed suspect in the area,” the posting said.
