The Montana Department of Public Health & Human Services has a new way for people to apply for services and get information around the clock.
The new web portal lets Montanans check their eligibility and apply for the following programs and benefits.
– Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) – Formerly Food Stamps
– Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) – Cash assistance
– Health Coverage Assistance – Medicaid, Healthy Montana Kids, health insurance assistance and tax credits through the federal Health Insurance Marketplace
“It also allows clients to create an online account… at which time they can view and print benefit history, view notices and correspondence. They can also report changes to the department,” explained David Crowson with DPPHS.
