Ismaaiyl Abdullah Brinsley’s social media reveals he was motivated by a black extremist view that police were out to kill black people.

But did Islamist beliefs also enter into his actions?

Of Allah and your enemies,

Ye may not know, but whom
Allah doth know. Whatever
Ye shall spend in the cause
Of Allah, shall be repaid
Unto you, and ye shall not
Be treated unjustly.

This is from Surah 8, the title of which is “Al-Anfal,” or “The Spoils of War.” According to his Facebook, Brinsley spoke Arabic.

As PJ Media notes, a segment of this same verse is used by the Muslim Brotherhood in their logo directly beneath the two swords, “And make ready…”

His Facebook page also contained a burning American flag, and he asked people to join in his #BTF or “Burn the Flag Challenge”.

This is for a “good cause”, he said, “to raise awareness towards the unjust treatment of our people in America. We’ve been treated as subhuman for so long it is even looked over by some of our own people”.
