Three women hostages were made to say the hostage taker, Man Haron Monis, had three specific demands:

1. Give us an IS flag, and one hostage would be released.
2. Please broadcast on all media that this is an attack on Australia by the Islamic State.
3. That we need Tony Abbott(PM) to contact “the brother” (Monis) on live feed, and five hostages would be released.

Most importantly, that there were three other bombs located throughout the city. In order for those not to be ignited, need the above three demands to be met.
