A violent Bloods gang member and career criminal assaulted a seasoned NYPD inspector during an anti-police protest in Harlem, cops said.
Jonathan Allen, 31, who has a lengthy rap sheet including an arrest for criminally negligent homicide, clocked Deputy Inspector Andrew Capul in the face Thursday night.
The veteran police official was on duty at the rally near 125th Street at the Adam Clayton Powell State Office near Malcolm X Boulevard around 9:30 p.m. when he was attacked.
